Meet the instructor

HI, I'M EMILY

I’m Emily Chipman, a PCC-credentialed executive coach with nearly 20 years of experience in HR, leadership development, and organizational performance. I’ve logged 800+ hours of leadership coaching—working with leaders from new managers to executives—and partnered directly with HR teams to design and run leader development programs.

My years working inside HR gave me an inside view of what HR expects from external coaches—and how easily great coaches can get stuck when they haven’t been exposed to how HR really works.

Along the way, I was honored to be chosen as the first woman to certify coaches worldwide in one of the top-rated leadership coaching methods. I also selected and supervised coaches supporting post 9-11 combat vets. That work has shown me something powerful: when we elevate one coach, we elevate our whole profession—opening doors for all of us.

I’m certified as a coach already—why would I need this?

Certification teaches you how to coach (skills). This course helps you understand what most certifications don't teach: the environment you’ll be coaching in—how HR functions, how decisions are made, and what it means to coach inside that reality.

I don’t have a corporate background—will I be in over my head?

Not at all. The course is designed to be clear and accessible. No jargon, just the context and clarity you’ve been missing if you haven’t worked inside large organizations before.

I’ve worked with HR before—will this still be useful?

Even with HR experience, it’s easy to stay stuck in the lens of your past role. This course offers you a chance to step back, review the broader picture, and reset your understanding from an outside perspective—a critical step in stepping into a new role.

How much is it? How long will the early bird pricing be available?

The full price of this course is $499, which reflects the depth and quality of the tools included. But we’re launching at $349 while we gather testimonials and feedback. How is the course delivered and how long do I have access?

The course is online. You will receive access after registering. Content is released weekly, and you’ll have access for 12 months after enrollment.

The course is not delivered live: it is pre-recorded so you can fit it around your schedule. Reflection prompts and engagement opportunities are built in, but there are no required live calls.

Is it self-paced? Will I fall behind?

Modules release one at a time to keep things manageable, but once a module is open, it’s yours to work through at your pace. You won’t lose access if life gets busy.
P.S. You can also listen to the entire course on our private podcast channel—perfect for learning on the go. You’ll still need to wait for weekly resources and exercises to drop, but you can binge episodes anytime during the 12 months you have access to the course.
